Building Envelope
The 3D space you're allowed to build in.
Defines the maximum length, width and height within which development can occur on a lot.
What does it mean for my project?
Keeps buildings within acceptable bulk and scale for the area.
What do I need to think about?
Envelope may be shown on subdivision plans or set by the DCP.
Examples where it might impact a project
A front envelope line 6 m from the street limits where the house can start.
